The Scientific Association of Animal Production congratulates:

  • its member Agostino Sevi, Full Professor at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Foggia (Italy), who has been elected Dean for his Faculty for the 2008-2011 triennium.
  • the following new ASPA members, accepted by the Plenary Meeting of the Association on June 27, 2008, in Campobasso (Italy):

Manifestation of interest

The Consortium for Experimentation, Dissemination and Application of Innovative Biotechniques (ConSDABI), specialized organization for research in the livestock sector with center in Benevento, Locality Piano Cappelle, intends to confer an assignment of Scientific General Manager through a selection between experts with high qualifications

and scientific experience in the sectors of molecular Biology and omic Sciences, with proven professional experience in the management of research structures. At least a good knowledge of the English language is requested (written/spoken). The job relationship will be regulated by a four-year private sector contract, renewable only once.

The Scientific General Manager will be responsible for the technical-scientific and organizational management of the Consortium and he will report directly to the President of the Consortium.

The Scientific Association of Animal Production congratulates its member Bianca Maria Poli, Full Professor in the Food Technology Science at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Firenze (Italy), for the reason described below.

Prof. Bianca Maria Poli, Coordinator of the PhD in Aquatic and terrestrial animal production and quality of products, Director of the PhD School in Sustainable vegetable and animal productions for exploitation of territory and quality of products, Italian representative in West European Fish Technologist Association and, from 2001, President of Assoittica Italia, the National Association of Seafood Preservation and Processing Enterprises (www.assoittica.it), was recently elected President of Federpesca, the Ship Owners National Association adherent to Confindustria (www.federpesca.it). Federpesca associates, represents and safeguards about 2200 Italian Fishery Ship Owners and Fishery Chain enterprises at the Public Administration, the Parliament and the European Union. Federpesca represents the Italian Enterprises of the sector at the National Council of the Economy and the Work (CNEL) and at the Institute of National Insurance of the Maritime Sector (IPSEMA). At European level, Federpesca represents the National Fishery Enterprises in EUROPECHE, that is the Association of the Organisations of the National Fishery Enterprises of EU Countries.
