Mineral requirements of dairy sheep
Abstract
This paper reviews the major (Calcium, Phosphorus, Potassium, Sodium, Chlorine, Sulphur, Magnesium) and the trace
elements (Iron, Copper, Cobalt, Iodine, Manganese, Zync, Molybdenum, Selenium) that play an essential role in animal
metabolism. For each one the authors indicate not only the function, but also the more recent advances in terms of
daily requirements for dairy sheep.
